Driven to Win: The Bastra’s Championship Season

Hard graft, serious seat time, and thousands of motorway miles have paid off. Paul Conway and the Bastra have taken the outright win, finishing up as the European FWD Ignitol UK 1/8th Mile Series Champion.

Earning the paddock nickname "the thousand mile man", Paul put in the massive shifts on the road to see the championship through, travelling from Crail Raceway down to Melbourne Raceway and across to Manston Raceway Park.

Down to the Wire

The points table finished dead level on 1150 points between Paul and Karl Monks. With everything hanging on the tiebreaker, Paul took the top spot thanks to proper consistency and raw pace:

•  Attending all three championship rounds
•  Bagging two out of three No. 1 Qualifier spots across the season
